Where am I? ~open~

Subject: Where am I? ~open~ Sun Sep 14, 2014 1:57 am

Crystal stumbled and fell over. She quickly got up and turned her head so her eyes could scan the area, even though she couldn't use them. She walked a few steps forward, feeling the ground with her paws. She sniffed the air, and tried to identify the scent. Moss, it smells like moss. She then felt around in front of her with her paw. Oh, that's why I smell moss! Crystal felt around the mossy log in front of her. Maybe I could use some moss, I might as well take some back to my healing pile. She grabbed onto the moss and ripped some out with her mouth, then turned and took a few steps in a different direction. She felt around with her paws, and climbed up onto a log, then jumped down on the other side and continued to slowly walk forward.

Relic was laying down in a tree when he heard noise and looked down to see a cougar cub. "What is a mountain lion doing way out here in the jungle?" he voice was hoarse, although he did not try to scare the cub. Although if it mother or father was near he wouldn't take its presence to kindly. He sat up and stretched before getting in a position to jump.

Crystal jumped when she heard a voice. She took a few steps back and looked around, without actually seeing. "I-I was... Looking for healing herbs. For my collection in case of an emergency," She replied, turning her head towards where she had heard the voice.

Relic jumped down not the close to the cub. He shook his head as he saw the herbs. "Although you are far from the mountains were are your parents?" He looked at the cubs coat and then sat down.

Flame padded into the nearby area, his short, spotted bright red fur glistening like a burning fire. His blue eyes looked around in the nearby area, ears twitching and listening. He heard some animals speaking, and crouched down low to the ground, carefully taking a tortuous path closer to the noises. He stayed on higher ground as he listened in, prepared to defend the cub. He wondered what a male animal was doing so close to it, and his claws unsheathed.

Crystal tilted her head and thought, then shrugged. "I don't know. Somewhere, i guess..." She said, and sniffed at the air. "So, what are you? Are you a wolf? Or a cat? I think you're some type of cat, like me. Because we smell similar. But i do smell a big cat, so that must be you. But you could be one of the smaller cats too, that the humans have, because i smell smaller cat too." Crystal said, and sniffed around.

Relic stared at the cub it did talk a bit much although he did not mind. He had already picked up the sent of the cat near listening. "I am a Jaguar" he said before sitting. He twitched his ears and turned his eyes in the direction the other cat lay. "What are you doing over there?" his voice was hoarse again, he did not like other cats in his territory, although didn't mind the cub. He was not startled or even cautious that the other cat was preparing to attack.

Flame narrowed his eyes at the jaguar. "I'm not doing anything threatening. I'll say though, how does this not look right? A full grown male jaguar, right next to a sweet little cub of another breed. I do not like this picture one bit." He said with a slight growl, keeping his distance, blue eyes narrowed.

Relic narrowed his eyes back towards the other cat. Although most males of his kind did not like cubs he did not mind them, although he knew that a few would not allow him near them. He backed up a bit and began to climb the tree without speaking, he was going to be alone for awhile; like always. So he began to watch them.

Crystal sat down when she heard another voice. She turned her head around to where she heard the voice. She heard the jaguar get up, and the scraping sound of his claws against tree bark, so she knew he was climbing a tree. "You're a normal cat?" She asked, and sniffed at the air again. "What do you look like?" She asked.

Flame padded down so he was closer to the cub, keeping an eye on the jaguar. "If you are talking to me, yes, I'm a normal cat. For the most part. My fur is bright red, like a fire, hence my name is Flame. But my eyes are blue like water. What is your name little one?" He asked like he was speaking to his own cub.

Relic layed down onto the tree branch with his tail flickering off the edge. He layed his head down on it still staring at them as one of his arms dangled down. He was not really sure what type of cat the other one was but didnt bother to ask.

"Oh, I'm Crystal. My mother told me about red, she said it was bright, and warm. She told me to imagine a warm feeling, then make it into a color, if i could. I remember once i had a dream. In my dream, i saw all the colors, and mother was in my dream too. She showed me around, and i saw all the colors, and things in the world. I don't know if they were the real colors or not, but in my dream they felt real." She said happily, remembering the dream. "Mother said my eyes were blue, too. She said they were the prettiest, bluest eyes she had ever seen. But i don't know how they look by me looking at them."

Relic bent his head down to stare at the cub as she spoke. He glanced at her eyes and thought that they might be one of the prettiest ever. "Amazingly we all have blue eyes" he said lightly. Although he knew his eyes were more of a ocean green, although he liked them better than darker blue. As he continued to flick his tail back and forth he stayed laying there looking at them.

Flame gently purred. "That a quite a nice story Crystal. Your name and eyes are quite pretty. I'd love to have a dream like that. It sounds nice. But little cub, where are you headed off to? Somewhere safe I hope?" He said kindly, sitting down next to her. He looked at her kindly, letting off a slightly and gentle purr.

She turned her head up when she heard the panther in the tree speak. "Thats funny that we all have blue eyes. But our eyes are probably not the exact same. Mother told me that there's many different types of colors thet are the same color. Like light blue, and dark blue, and blue mixed with all the different colors." She said, and looked back down at Flame when he talked. "Oh, thank you! Well, I don't really know where I'm going, I never do. But, I guess most of the time I'm always just going somewhere. But I have to get used to walking around a place before I know it, so its hard for me to travel." She said, and lightly pawed at the ground. "What type of forest are we in?" She asked.

Relic glared at Flame as he ignored his comments. He then turned his head towards the cub and nodded at her words. "This is called a rainforest, i would say i am the king of the jungle, although of course if a tiger was to come i would be the prince, and i wouldnt suggest you being around if there is a male one". he then layed his head back onto the trunk.

Flame nodded at the jaguar. "I for one am just passing through. Crystal, I'm sure if that is the safest for a cub. I'd much prefer if you have someone to look after you until you are a bit more suitable age to be on your own. I for one am willing, but it's entirely up to you." He said politely. He shuffled his feet slightly, half watching the jaguar half watching the cub.

A rain forest, I've been in one of those before! "Well, I was looking for a big cat named Benjiro. I-i heard that he might need an apprentice, so I'm going there. Mother told me that once she passed through and met Benjiro. But she kept traveling. Mother also told me that i was good at healing, and asked me if i would like for someday her to take me to Benjiro and see if he would accept me as an apprentice. But mother said that she would have to leave me with Benjiro, and go off somewhere else. But i can't seem to find him, so maybe i could go with you guys until i find him." She said happily.

Relic was usually not in the mood when others passed into his territory although there isnt many other big cats around his so he did not mind these other cats much. "If you would like i would accompany you on your journey, although i will travel through trees i will help you but i will not go farther than a few miles from my territory" he gave a slight smile to the two. He usually had nothing to do and thought this journey would bring excitement.

Flame nodded at the small cub and at Relic. "And I could stay on the ground with you and take you all the way there. Does that sound alright?" He asked kindly, tail high in the air. He deemed the jaguar a nice male cat, and would easily tolerate him.

Relic dipped his head towards the two cats as he stretched high in the tree. He was glad the branches could tolerate his weight and they were close to one another. If they needed help below on the ground he would help although he would stay hidden in the tree to come out a surprise.

"Oh, okay! Thank you! Do either of you have any injuries? If you do I can treat them if I know where they are!" Crystal said happily. It'd be fun to put my herbal knowledge to use.
